No,  /home/robihun/alsa/alsa-driver-1.0.14/  should be OK

Is the /home/robihun/alsa/alsa-lib-1.0.14a/   resident too?

Are there  folders:
$ ls -d /usr/src/l*
/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.20-15
/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.20-15-generic

Is the binutils package installed?  If do there should be an output of
$ ld --version
GNU ld version 2.17.50 20070103 Ubuntu
etc
