The modem is supported by the Smartlink slamr driverplus the slmodemd helper utility. Read the Smartlink.txt
For openSUSE 10.2 (i586) - Kernel Linux version 2.6.18.2-34-defaultcompiling is necessary. A package must be installed, providing: kernel-source-2.6.18.2-34-default
Then download fromhttp://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/ theungrab-winmodem-20070505.tar.gz and slmodem-2.9.11-20070813.tar.gzUnpack under Linux with:tar zxf un*.tar.gztar zxf slam*.tar.gz:Compile and install the drivers.Do read the documentation about recreating the /dev/slamr0 upon bootup with:# mknod -m 600 /dev/slamr0 c 242 0until automation is implemented.
