YenHung,
Please always send to the List and not directly to me. Many other

am and administrator, who writes other's good answers into the
scanModem tool.

RE: but it does not work
Please be more detailed about a failure step.
Do you mean the modem is not found by wvdialconf ?
Did you first:
# modprobe agrmodem
# modprobe agrserial

RE: module license 'Proprietary' taints kernel.
Some modem drivers have a Proprietary component which is pre-compiled,
rather than being Open Source. Once such a driver is loaded into the
kernel, further Linux bug tracking functions are not reliable, until
the next bootup. Hence the warning the: "Proprietary taints kernel".

RE: > # Why does the modem use the IRQ 9 which is same with uhci_hcd:usb3?
IRQs/interrupts are the means of hardware calling for attention by the
kernel/CPU
Sharing an IRQ between several hardware components is common and
usually not a problem per se. The uhci_hcd:usb3 is USB hardware. When
trying to

RE: # modprobe -r acpi <-- it does not work?
For drivers in use
# modprobe -r Driver_In_Use
will fail.
