Marv,

I saw that slmodemd supported it, but the

support not yet available continued for the modems below the

since they have " " meaning like continued.

Thanks for correcting my message to the list and to Paul.

 Download from http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/
 the package SLMODEMD.gcc4.1.tar.gz having a compiled slmodemd. Unpack
under Linux with:
       $ tar zxf SLMODEMD.gcc4.1.tar.gz
 and read instructions therein. But briefly, the modem is setup with command:
       sudo slmodemd -c  NEW_ZEALAND   --alsa hw:0,6
 reporting dynamic creation of ports:
       /dev/ttySL0 --> /dev/pts/N   , with N some number
 Read Smartlink.txt and Modem/YourSystem.txt for follow through guidance.

The 0x10573055 chipset is supported by the combination of
snd-hda-intel and slmodemd

Antonio,
   The only chips not supported currently are the two 0x14f1???? Conexant chips
and the LSI/Agere 0x11c11040, though other LSI are.
