Richard,
ungrab-winmodem is only needed in conjunction with the slamr driver
which should not be needed for 8086:24c6 softmodem controller.
This should be adequately served by an ALSA modem driver and an ALSA
competent slmodemd.
Please send the ModemData.txt output from running scanModem.
