Ok, I uderstood something of this kind. Being as neewbie as I am, I decided to try 'wvdial', as you and others, sugested. Who knows if there wasn't some resource unavailable in minicom and present in wvdial ? In dubio pro réu ! (In doubt for defendant) So I gave wvdial a try.
