Jose,

Marv made an accidental mistake confusing your case
with the hda_codec one, what he meant for you to do
is to apply the patch for the
slmodem-2.9.11-20070204.tar.gz to your motorola modem
which is

http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/bigarch/archive-seventh/msg00846.html

This means for you to download
http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/slmodem-2.9.11-20070204.tar.gz
and
http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/ungrab-winmodem.tar.gz
unpack it with
tar -zxvf slmodem-2.9.11-20070204.tar.gz
cd to slmodem-2.9.11-2007
look for the file amrmo_init.c and make some changes
to it, the ones outlined below and then do
make KERNEL_DIR=/lib/modules/2.6.18-1.2798.fc6/build/

** make sure kernel-devel package is installed or
build will fail ****
follow the instructions given.
also unpack ungrab-winmodem and run make & make
install

The soft modem Motorola sm56 - PCI Device 1057:3052 -
can be used with slamr &
slmodemd with a simple patch to amrmo_init.c (under
drivers directory):

[zello@zello drivers]$ cat 1057_3052.patch
139,141d138
< /* Motorola */
< #define PCI_VENDOR_ID_MOTOROLA
 0x1057
<
237,238d233
< {PCI_VENDOR_ID_MOTOROLA, PCI_DEVICE_ID_SL1900,
    /* 1057:3052 */
< PCI_ANY_ID, PCI_ANY_ID, 0, 0, SL1900_CARD},

This is an attempt that you have to try to do to make
your modem work. zello <zello@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> has make
his work with the slmodem code, so go ahead and try
and should you have any problems/concerns please
report back to list.

Regards,

Antonio
