Hi folks,
because there is no GLIBC_2.4 in Debian etch, I can not use the package
SLMODEMD.gcc4.1.tar.gz. So I compiled slmodemd from the package
slmodem-2.9.11-20070204.tar.gz, I got from
http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/.
Calling slmodemd (as root) by:
>slmodemd -c GERMANY --alsa modem:1
produces the output:
SmartLink Soft Modem: version 2.9.11 Apr 9 2007 10:15:19
symbolic link `/dev/ttySL0' -> `/dev/pts/3' created.
modem `modem:1' created. TTY is `/dev/pts/3'
Use `/dev/ttySL0' as modem device, Ctrl+C for termination.
Now I can access the modem in Minicom by AT-commands but with
ATDTnnnnn
the modem doesn't dial and nothing happens. After a while
NO CARRIER
is issued.
Can anybody help me?
