Marv,
Is it in your power to generate a ready-to-go installer for Bradley?

Or is somebody else on the list willing to?

And of course send me a copy for our site.

Hi Jacques,

I have downloaded martian-full-20061203.tar.gz to my desktop and
extracted it there.
Read all the readme, install and make files, but as I don't have a
clue what I'm doing I just keep getting error messages.

Installed package restricted modules for Linux version 2.6.15 on 386.
Because it said I need to.

I though linux would be a better choice than windows, but i am not a
programmer, just a basic user and quite frankly think it beyond my
capabilities.

If you can outline a Keep It Simple Stupid (KISS) solution I would be
extremely grateful, if not thanks for your assistance.
Kindest Regards,
Bradley.

Zuesko,
It is useless to try drivers unless you know exactly which one is THE
one which you need.
Therefore, begin by removing all the drivers which you have tried to
install.

Have you done that? If not, do it first. The file is the same directory
named Modem where you have found ModemData.txt.

At this time there is no ready to go Debian installer matching your kernel.
I believe but I am not sure that the file martian-full-20061203.tar.gz
from http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/ltmodem/kernel-2.6/martian/
is what you need.
Download it, unpack with tar zxf martian-full-20061203.tar.gz
Go down into folder martian with cd martian
Read the instructions.
Where they say that you must be root or use su , with your Ubuntu system
you must give sudo commands.
