is more informative and apologies.
I have loaded 536EP drivers as detailed on the Ubuntu wiki and it seemed to
go alright but gnome-ppp says that it cannot make the modem work when it
tries to connect.
I should add more info
The card works perfectly under Win XP which found the 536EP drivers for it
(which is how I first identified it). After finding the driver from your
site and following the instructions in the wiki above it appears to be
there.
It shows up in Network Manager and in Gnomeppp and I can fill in all the
configuration details but when I click on it - nothing happens in the NM and
gnomeppp says it cannot make it work.
