John If the same error recurs with the new scanModem download, do: $ lspci $ lspci -nv and send me the outputs. ScanModem mostly parses this information automatically. Also do $ su - root # bash -x ./scanModem > JFG # gzip JFG and attach the JFG.gz This will help me identify the scanModem problem, which may result from a call specific to your environment.
