download hsfmodem_7.47.00.07full_k2.6.17_10_generic_ubuntu_i386.deb.zip Unpack with: $ unzip hsf*.zip install with: $ sudo dpkg -i hsf*.deb Follow the output instructions. Afterwards the modem should be found by: $ sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf Edit in personal info with: $ sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf also removing the < > symbols.
