Run
$ sudo   hsfconfig --dumpdiag
If this command crashes your machine, please try instead:
$ sudo   hsfconfig --dumpdiag --noprobe

Send the hsfdiag.txt located in the folder /tmp/
to MODEM.SUPPORT@xxxxxxxxxxxx
They are the experts on their own software

Hello to everyone,

sorry if I'm disturbing you, but I'm new to Linux (Ubuntu) and my first problem is related to the internal modem of my laptop.
I've followed the instruction on the site and downloaded the driver hsfmodem_VersionSpec_k2.6.17_10_generic_ubuntu_i386.deb.zip from http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/full/downloads-ubuntu-x86.php and the result was that the modem is still not working and also the audio device.
Then I've reinstalled Ubuntu and analyze in dept the scanModem output files ... so I went to http://www.linuxant.com/drivers but I lose myself ... and I've decide to ask some help.

Thank a lot in advance,
