Hi Lajos,

I had the same problem with modem, when upgrading tothe latest and
greatest release of ALSA. The problem does not occure with
alsa-driver-1.0.12!

Go to ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/driver/ and download the
alsa-driver-1.0.12.tar.bz2 package and the corresponding libs from
ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/lib.

The Problem has nothing to do with your LINUX distro. It comes from the
way, how slmodemd tries to set up the modem.
