You should try the
intel-537EP_secure-2.60.80.1_18_12_2006.tgz   18-Dec-2006 14:17  1.5M
at http://phep2.technion.ac.il/linmodems/packages/Intel/Philippe.Vouters/

Something is broken in your copy of the  intel-537-2.27.39.0 code package,
because the script is just being displayed rather than executed.

It should look like:
