Hello, my name is Zachary Gearhart. I am planning on participating in Google Summer of Code and I am interested in contributing here. I am currently working on a 2 year degree in computer science and I know how to code in python. I am completely new to open source and software development but I am very eager to learn more about and contribute to the open source community. My email is zac@xxxxxxxxxx <mailto:zac@xxxxxxxxxx> if you would like to get in touch with me.

There are not many Python-related project ideas. One of them is the Meson study: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/GSoC/Ideas#Feasibility_study:_building_LibreOffice_using_meson

However, as a prerequisite for applying, you need to send a patch for a difficultyInteresting easy hack and there are no such available in the Python category.

Everything about getting into the development is explained here: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/GetInvolved

Normally I would invite you to an orienting interview, but there is so little time left that it does not make sense.
