Hi All,

Hi,

Is it possible to rate-limit aggregate bandwidth of certain ingress packet types received on multiple interfaces using TC?

My understanding is that TC applies to a single interface.

However, I believe there is (was) a virtual interface that could be used to aggregate / funnel multiple interfaces into one where the TC rules could be applied.

Sorry, I don't remember any more details about the virtual interface other than it does (did) exist.

For example rate-limit all ingress PTP packet traffic received by multiple interfaces to 100Mbps.

The tc policing action is tied to a particular interface + qdisk handle.

You would apply your TC rules to the virtual aggregate interface and make sure they are crafted to target the specific packets as you desire.
