One interface, 2 ISPs

Linux Advanced Routing and Traffic Control

Good afternoon everyone!

I'm a iproute2 newbie however I've subscribed to the list since 2/9/03 -
I've re-looked through my archives for my situation and didn't notice it.
Forgive me if this has been hashed through before...

I currently have "Split Access" (per the LARTC HOWTO) working on a server
with two external interfaces (1 interface per ISP).

I have another server with a single interface connected to a "Internet" hub
cascading from ISP1 (SDSL router).

Is it feasible to connect ISP2 (second SDSL router) to that same "Internet"
hub, then create an alias for the IP on the other subnet from ISP2?

[ISP1 - 216.xxx.xxx.112/28] \
			       > [24 port "Internet" Hub] -> [Webmail
Server]
[ISP2 - 209.xxx.xxx.96/27] /

Webmail Server:
- eth0	- IP 216.xxx.xxx.119, DG 216.xxx.xxx.113
- eth0:1	- IP 209.xxx.xxx.101, DG 209.xxx.xxx.97

So, my question is if I can use a single interface with two IP addresses
each on different subnets and have the appropriate "default" routes to each
of the SDSL routers?

Is this a workable solution?

If so, perhaps someone could direct me to an example configuration?

The server is Gentoo running a 2.4.20 kernel, iproute2-ss010824, iptables
v1.2.8

Regards,
Jake
