Passing incoming traffic through IMQ ?

Linux Advanced Routing and Traffic Control

Hi, everyone.

I have a linux box with 2 ethernets doing NAT for a local network. I use IMQ to shape forwarded traffic. This works fine so far.

What I want to do is to include linux's own traffic into the shaping.

So, here is the problem: if I put IMQ on the PREROUTING chain then there is no way to destinguish between the packets later on since they haven't yet passed NAT, if I put IMQ on the POSTROUTING chain then the packets for the linux box do not hit the QOS.

What can I do ? Is there a way to include the gateway's traffic into the shaping that is taking place in the IMQ ?

jnk
