[LARTC] VOIP traffic shaping

Linux Advanced Routing and Traffic Control

Hi guys, I have tried to allocate bandwidth for VOIP sessions using the
normal way of
HTB qdisc on root
class for bandwidth
and sfq qdisc on leaf.
I also clamp the packet size to 128 bytes to not let large packets interfere
with small voice packets.

This still gives voice delay when other traffic is present. I read in the
mail list that a pfifo qdisc was suggested for the leaf class instead of
sfq.
I don't have any VOIP kit to test this with so I would please like to know
what the final outcome was.
