Linux Advanced Routing and Traffic Control

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,
I'm new to networking and Linux.
I was wondering what a v35 connection was.
Also, I want to create my own WAN using IP tunneling from my LAN to my
friends LAN (would that be considered a WAN), and I want to know if the
instructions I found in the HOW-TO will work with other systems such as FreeBSD
or Solaris. I know it said IP-2-IP is Linux only, but do they all use GRE? Um,
one more things. The in the tunneling section of the HOW-TO, data encryption was
not mentioned. I would like to encrypt the tunnel, but how?

Thank you
xerid
