What do you want to test? Do you want to know how accurate the shaping is done, or do you want to know how many resources (memory/cpu) this asks? For the accurate tests, there are some tools around. You can use the great ethloop tool from the htb page for htb testing. I also have some scripts to test/monitor htb pages.
