Mandrake ships an older version of HTB.
I make a new kernel RPM (slower than building from
kernel source, but I find more satisfying in the long run),
replacing the old HTB patches with the new ones.

Building from the rpm source allows you to see what
patches are in there, often invaluable in diagnosing why
off the shelf patches aren't taking in a distro's kernel tree.
