Hi,

First ... I am very sorry about my english.

My name is Giuliano and I will start some basic tests on QoS under Linux

The goal of these tests are to create a Laboratory to learn (and teach for
future) QoS features.

I would like to ask you a help to learn how to implement some basic tests to
get the goal.

How can I start ?

What kind of tests can I do for showing the QoS features on a Lab
environment

What kind of applications I could test to get some results ?

There is some kind of applications to show marked packages or queues working
?

I was thinking in intall a client server environment with http, ftp, real
player and other to test the features.

The equipment that I have is: 2 cisco 2600 router with qdm and 2 machines
with Debian GNU Linux (kernel 2.4.18) + iproute2.

I would like to test diffservice and int service, besides to learn about TOs
and queues and shapping

I dont have any pratical with the issue and I will start learning basically,
therefore I need some basic tests to start ... and I really dont know how to
implement that.

Thank you very much

Giuliano
