That's for the guest to decide, no?

No more so than with the various other things that don't get fully emulated.

If the guest wants to poll debug events rather than receive interrupts, we should enable it to do so.

Someone who cares can enable it to do so. Note that the value of deferred debug events is so low that it got ripped out of the hardware starting with e6500. Didn't we discuss this a while back?
