OK I really want this and the follow-up cleanup
for net.c (and I have added another cleanup on top)
but this has a dependency on the hotplug patches.
So what I propose is I take the hotplug patches
on the vhost tree and apply this and the flush patches
on top, send everything to Linus.

Once he merges net and scsi can do development
more or less independently again.
Thoughts?
