Hi all,

After an upgrade to qemu-kvm-0.12.5 and vanilla Linux 2.6.35, I now can
not boot my XP guest. It hangs at the splash screen. I can get to the
kvm console via <ctrl><alt>2, but it still won't get past the black
screen at boot.

Once I downgraded back to Linux 2.6.33.3 it booted and worked fine again.

Here is the commands I run to launch the guest:

export QEMU_AUDIO_DRV=alsa
qemu-system-x86_64 \
	-m 1024 \
        -soundhw es1370 \
	-localtime \
-name 'Windows XP Pro Host' \
	-usb -usbdevice tablet \
	-hda /projects/stu/kvm-drives/winxpp.img \
	-net nic,macaddr=52:54:00:12:31:04 \
	-net tap,ifname=tap3,script=/etc/kvm/kvm-ifup-br0 -daemonize

Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Thanks In Advance,

Stuart Sheldon
