Summary: FreeBSD/OpenSolaris guests image corruption

Initial Comment:
Last AIO patch, by Vladimir N. Oleynik was added to the hw/ide.c emulation in revision 1.65 to use AIO to speed up writes to the images, but was found to be buggy and result in broken images an was reverted in revision 1.70 with the following log entry :

Revert "Last AIO Patch" as requested by Fabrice, it is incomplete and breaks other (non-Windows) systems.

Message:
Hi,

Just looking through old bugs.

Could you please let us know if this is still a problem with recent QEMU,
and if not, lets close it.

Thanks,
Jes
