Hi.

* what cpu model : opteron and phenom
* what kvm version you are using : 0.11.1
* the host kernel version : 2.6.32
* what host kernel arch you are using : x86_64
* what guest you are using : XP "pro" 32 bit
* the qemu command line you are using to start the guest : qemu-system-x86_64
-smb /media -m 2047 -usb -usbdevice tablet -localtime XP.img
* whether the problem goes away if using the -no-kvm-irqchip or -no-kvm-pit
switch : can't test right now
* whether the problem also appears with the -no-kvm switch : can't test right
now

The bug :
I use -smb /media in order to access usb and cdrom easily
In XP, i open file manager, type \\10.0.2.4
Then i link the qemu shared folder on the desktop.
Now, at each boot, the virtual machine crashes with a "completed" in my
terminal.
It took one entire day to figure it out.

Apart this i want to say qemu-kvm rocks.
