That did it. So from 2.6.27 and on, we need to enable KVM module in
kernel no matter we want to use a separate outside module or not. This
is a little strange.

While we could work around this, it actually buys you important functionality (full swapping) so I'd rather keep it this way. Distros will enable kvm, so most users won't notice this at all.
