Biweekly KVM-ia64 status report --- 1 new issue, 6 old issues (2 fixed)

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi Xiantao,
    Your 2 patches for kvm-userspace can make IA64-kvm compile very smoothly. Our auto building system is ready with your patches. I also use your patch for KVM guest network enabling. It can enable guest's network well. Hope all the three patches can be checked into upstream as soon as possible. :)
    With the three patches (2 for building, and 1 for guest network). I did an ABAT test towards KVM-ia64. There is no new issue. Two of the six old issue should be fixed (not checked in).

    ENV is:

    New issue (1):
    =================
    1. Host can not free memory after create and destroy guest.
    (After we create and destroy some guests, the free memory is too small for new guest to boot with. Host does not retrieve memory well)

    Old issues (2 fixed)
    =================
    1. [FIXED, but not Checked in] 'make sync' failed in (IPF) kvm-userspace/kernel
        I have checked your patch, it can fix this issue. Thanks!

    2. [FIXED, but not Checked in] Guest can not boot up network.

    3. [Feature not ready] FAIL to boot up Windows-2008server guest.

    4. [Feature not ready] KVM guest can not do "reboot" and "poweroff"

    5. [Feature not ready] KVM guest will crash at restore

    6. [Regression] Can not boot up guest with 4G memory (kernel panic in guest)
        This should be a regression, since kvm-ia64 can do it with May,29th commit.
