NASA'S SPACE SHUTTLE PROCESSING STATUS REPORT

Note: NASA's Kennedy Space Center issues Space Shuttle Processing 
Status Reports periodically and is the source for information 
regarding processing activities associated with the vehicles and

Mission: STS-122 - 24th International Space Station Flight - Columbus 
laboratory 
Vehicle: Atlantis (OV-104) 
Location: Launch Pad 39A 
Launch Date: Targeting Feb. 7 
Crew: Frick, Poindexter, Schlegel, Eyharts, Love, Melvin, Walheim 
Inclination/Orbit Altitude: 51.6 degrees/122 nautical miles 

Launch Pad 39A
- Engine cutoff (ECO) sensor external feedthrough connector 
installation is complete
- Aft ECO instrumentation wiring removal and retest was completed
- All sensors have been tested successfully
- ECO sensor feedthrough foaming work on the external J-Box and solid 
rocket booster PAL ramp continues through the weekend
- Annual slidewire basket pad evacuation system maintenance and 
checkout continues through the weekend
- Solid rocket booster hydraulic retesting was completed Monday
- Liquid oxygen storage tank pressurization and relief valve testing 
was successfully completed Tuesday 


Mission: STS-123 - 25th International Space Station Flight - Kibo, 
Dextre 
Vehicle: Endeavour (OV-105) 
Location: Orbiter Processing Facility Bay 2 
Launch Date: Targeting Mid-March 
Launch Pad: 39A 
Crew: Gorie, Johnson, Linnehan, Doi, Behnken, Foreman, Reisman
Inclination/Orbit Altitude: 51.6 degrees/122 nautical miles 

Orbiter Processing Facility Bay No. 2
- Removal and replacement work on the purge, vent and drain valve, 
which is part of the non-breathing air conditioning system completed 
Thursday
- Landing gear was retracted
- Potable water servicing samples completed Wednesday
- Main landing gear struts' weight on wheels leak check completed

Vehicle Assembly Building High Bay No. 1
- External tank/solid rocket booster closeout operations continue
- Re-foaming of the external tank assembly ring, that goes around the 
solid rocket boosters near the aft most SRB field joint, is being 
worked Friday
- ECO sensor system feed through work begins again Jan. 23 


Mission: STS-124 - 26th International Space Station Flight - Kibo 
Pressurized Module, Japanese Remote Manipulator System 
Vehicle: Discovery (OV-103) 
Location: Orbiter Processing Facility Bay 3 
Launch Date: Targeting April 24 
Launch Pad: 39A 
Crew: Kelly, Ham, Nyberg, Garan, Fossum, Hoshide, Chamitoff 
Inclination/Orbit Altitude: 51.6 degrees/122 nautical miles 

Orbiter Processing Facility Bay No. 3
- Vernier thruster pressure chamber flushes continue in preparation 
for inspections
- Ku band antenna stow scheduled for Friday
- Drag chute flight door checkout scheduled for Friday
- Solid rocket booster stacking scheduled for Jan. 31
- Power redundancy testing was successfully completed
- External tank separation camera interface verification is complete
- Payload premate testing completed Tuesday
