The OSB II is an agency safety and health initiative project to replace modular housing and trailers in the Launch Complex 39 area at KSC. The new facility will be five-story, 189,000-square-foot building and consist of approximately 860 office spaces, training rooms, computer rooms, multimedia conference rooms, technical libraries, and a 352-person mission conference center with observation deck. Architect and Engineers Wolfberg, Alvarez and Partners, Coral Gables, Fla., designed the facility. David Boland, Inc., a small business HUBZone firm in Titusville, Fla, will perform construction (reference KSC release 3-03). Facility completion is scheduled for March 2005.
