May I ask why, the display manager is the part you interact the least with.
KDE doesn't really have an equivalent. It used to have KDM under KDE4, but KDE-based distributions have replaced that with SDDM. SDDM is not in fact a KDE application but a generic, Qt-based display manager. At least that's how it was a while back. The only visible link to KDE is (was?) the fact that SDDM comes with a KCM that allows to configure a number of things via the SystemSettings application (but NOT actions via the scripts you mention).
Personally I don't like SDDM at all; it takes too many design cues from MS Windows instead of putting up a simple dialog for entering username and password (and some interface for administrative tasks like restarting).

GDM and equivalents are not part of a desktop environment (DE), they're only the portal through which you pass to get into your DE. If SDDM has support for custom pre- and post session action as GDM has then that goes via scripts just like with GDN which you'll have to edit with a text editor.
