First, please submit PNG or lossless JP2 files when submitting files for 
diagnostics.  It is hard to tell the JPEG artifacts from the problem.

Others have reported this.  Since Pango works correctly with FreeType, 
we suspect that it is a Qt bug.  If you are running KDE-4.2.1, you can 
try upgrading to Qt 4.5, but this is not yet guaranteed to work 100%.

OTOH, you might want to purchase an ATI graphics board. :-)
