Quite often on mailing lists, a copy of an email is not mailed back to 
the party that originated it.  I don't know the details of how this is 
set or if it can be changed.  (It is a property of each mail list, so 
would have to be changed on each mail list that does this.)

PS: It would be nice if messages were snipped more, so that responses 
were made to specific points and stuff already resolved did not appear 
in subsequent emails.
