I know; my Asus is 1024x600. Widescreen FTW!

(And yes, there is a bit of sarcasm in the above. Or, put less obtusely, 
I disagree that we can assume larger than 1024x768, given clear evidence 
to the contrary.)

I was recently amused by issuing 'rm -rf $KDEDIR'... from Konsole, while 
in a KDE session. And nothing bad happened whatsoever. Try THAT on 
Windows :-D.
