I agree with you at some level as i can see that several applications that are 
rather well and stable still refrain from calling it just than. Anyway, i wont 
argue of whether KDE did the right right thing with calling 4.0 as 4.0 but i 
know that 4.1.2 would not have been as good as it is today had that not 
happened. While i would agree that 4.0 had its issues and i would not have 
recommended it to everybody i can confidently promote the current version. It 
does have it's issues but no more than one would expect from most other DE. On 
the brighter side it has more good than bad. although it has issues i stick to 
it cause i can not do without the good things that it has to offer.
