That works ok, but I have to logout, and backin to change the language. For
example. When I install Fedora Core, it installs Gnome as default, and gdm as
the desktop manager. it has a menu item for language, and as long as I have
the language packages installed I can login using any language that I want.
Now I don't use Gnome, but always KDE, but am presuming that gdm's language
selection applies equally to logging into KDE, as it does to Gnome.

What appears to be missing on kdm is a menu item to select the language that
you want to use when logged in to KDE.

This is not a big deal, but would save a bit of time when logging in. You
know. Login in english, change the language, logout, log back in using
french. It's all a bit time consuming, but I'll put up with it, if it's a bit
of a lost cause expecting a menu item for "language" being added to kdm.

Thanks for your quick reply Bram.

Nigel.
