Emptying trash tries to delete root / directory?!?!?

	For SOME reason,  when I go to empty the trash on
the Kde desktop it asks me if I want to delete root/main/top directory!
I've wiped out everything "by hand" where the trash is located and it
changed nothing.
Obviously there is no reference to "/"   or if everything
 from the top directory downwards WAS actually moved to the trash
I wouldn't have a running desktop?  Anyways,  anyone know how to fix
this??
