Maybe it is more a difference in the used X servers than in the used KDE
setups.

Hi Kevin,

OpenBSD 4.0 (vanilla/out-of-box regarding X) are runinng X11R6.9.0
The misc. Linux variants I've tested, are running X11R7[1|2] 
I think I'll 'co' 7.2 (released feb. 06) and give it a go.
