Salut Folks,

KDE Sound notifications. I tried some of the fixes prescribed on the lists, but what worked for me was to put a knotify.desktop in autostart with kdeinit knotify in it. getit? :-P
thanks Trenton, that is helping me! Now I know where the problem is located. If I start knotify from the command line
kdeinit knotify
I get at least the logout-sound, and in the kcontrol in the Knotify section the test-button all of a sudden works again :-)

So my question is, how should knotify-service be started. Putting it in the autostart is just a workaround.
Just to remeber I use SuSE 9.1prof updated to KDE 3.4.0a.

Thanks
