How to debug KDE in gnome environment

Hi All,

Running on Fedora Core 3 I recently upgraded KDE from 3.3 to version
3.4.
Before the upgrade, everything worked like a charm.
No after the upgrade: NOTHING, really nothing works.
KDE loads, and when the splash screen is gone, I cannot use any
application any longer, because any action freezes everything.
Even a terminal won't run.
I always thought that upgrades / updates suppose to improve something,
but KDE has become useless now.

I have no idea where to start searching for what might be wrong.

Luckely I also have the Gnome desktop fully installed and everything
(except for Arts) appears to work in the gnome envorinment.

So perhaps I can try to debug the KDE desktop, or should I just get Arts
running and stick to gnome ?

Anyway, I'm clueless.
