apt-get is a tool to resolve dependencies and download them.
It is also available for almost any distribution out there after Conectiva 
created the apt4rpm

The Debian package manager is called dpkg, the command for installing s is 
also -i packagenames

Can't all the available tools like KPackage already do this?
