Have a read of the manual and look at the menus and preferences.

For just one example it could dial out at midnight and download all the links 
from a site and put all the graphics into a Pictures folder, put all the pdfs 
into your Documents folder all the MP3's into your music folder then play 
rock-a-bye-baby to you while it lulls you to sleep, disconnects and turns off 
the computer (all true!)
