Re: sound system works, but system sounds don't

I have the same problem on one of my KDE installations (which are all
the same, I really don't understand why it doesn't work there). To
workaround this, I set the default player program in the system
notification tab of the control panel to "artsplay", and I get the
sounds. Not as nifty as if KDE did connect itself to arts to play the
sounds, but at least it works.

I don't understand neither why the "testing sound" button works and
not the sound notifications.
