Mandrake 10.0 has KDe sound via kcontrol > LookNFeel > System notifications 
I typed kcontrol in a shell.
The strange thing is that ever I apply the changes, when I return they still
have the old value.
I suspect a permission problem.
Where are these settings stored ?
