KMail-1.7.1 missing features

Some missing KMail features...
Im using KDE-3.3.0 and kmail-1.7.1
In kmail when viewing a mail message and i and select some text, then right 
click with the mouse doesnt appear any menu to copy the select text.

In the search messages window, when selecting a message, there isnt a menu to 
open the message in a separated window.

Is possible to add these features?
