hello: i am attempting to build kde 3.2.2 using konstruct-stable. unfortunately, it is getting to kdebase and failing as shown below. i have searched in the configure to see what it is doing that is failing. i found that it creates a file actest.ui and then runs the command: uic -L /usr/lib/kde3/plugins/designer/ -impl actest.h actest.ui > actest.cpp then i test (as does configure) for the existence of actest.cpp (yes) and does it contain the word klineedit (no). i also note this comment in configure at the point of the above test: # if you're trying to debug this check and think it's incorrect, # better check your installation. The check _is_ correct - your # installation is not. now, my question. how do i go about checking the installation. i have deleted and reran the konstruct tree three times, all with the same error! i have made two changes to qar.confi.mk #GARCHIVEDIR = $(HOME)/kde3.2.2-sources GARCHIVEDIR = /usr #prefix ?= $(HOME)/kde3.2.2 prefix = /usr all assistance and/or pointers is greatly appreciated. ---------------- output from make install -------------- ... checking for Qt... libraries /usr/lib, headers /usr/include using -mt checking for moc... /usr/bin/moc checking for uic... /usr/bin/uic checking whether uic supports -L ... yes checking whether uic supports -nounload ... yes checking if Qt needs -ljpeg... no checking for rpath... yes checking for KDE... libraries /usr/lib, headers /usr/include checking if UIC has KDE plugins available... no configure: error: you need to install kdelibs first. make[1]: *** [configure-work/kdebase-3.2.2/configure] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/pub/konstruct/kde/kdebase' make: *** [dep-../../kde/kdebase] Error 2 -- regards, tom baker "your friendly neighborhood tardis owner" "my tardis will go from 0 to 105" Current date: 6:27:10::154:2004 Never trust anyone who says money is no object. ___________________________________________________ .
