1. How to you search for KDE specific tools?
You can try Google, but AFAIK, the only free PDF generators are GhostScript:
This can be accessed with: kprinter or the script: ps2pdf.
And: http://www.reportlab.org/
There are several PostScript/PDF viewers. The ones you have installed should be in the K-Menu under: Graphics.
